The Opportunity:

A Design Technology Teacher is needed to join a dynamic team and support students across Key Stages 3. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and innovative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Design & Technology to Key Stage 3 students, including Food Technology and Textiles.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire student creativity and technical skills.
  • Support students of all abilities and ensure a positive learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a high-quality curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 students.
  • Commitment to student success and a positive, innovative approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Food Technology or Textiles.
  • Early career teachers with a passion for education.
  • Experience with cross-phase or multi-academy trust environments.
