The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Religious Education Teacher and Curriculum Leader to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape the curriculum and inspire students with a passion for Religious Education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and curriculum development at both Key Stage 3 and A-Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons to students aged 11-18.
  • Lead and support the development of the Religious Education curriculum across the school.
  • Deliver A-Level lessons in Philosophy, Ethics, and Theology, or demonstrate a strong desire to do so.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in and contribute to ongoing professional development and research-led CPD.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Ensure all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Experience teaching A-Level Philosophy, Ethics, and Theology, or a strong desire to teach at this level.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • A-Level or equivalent qualification in Philosophy, Ethics, or Theology.
  • Experience in curriculum leadership or development.
  • Knowledge of Catholic education and values.
  • Experience with CPD and professional development.
