The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour to provide dynamic leadership and ensure positive behaviour across the school. This role is central to fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop behaviour policies and strategies across all year groups
  • Work closely with staff to maintain a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Support the implementation of consistent behaviour management across the school
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour initiatives
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on behaviour management
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values
  • Address complex behaviour issues with a focus on student development and support
  • Promote a safe and respectful environment that encourages student achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership or behaviour management role
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and best practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team
  • Commitment to the school’s values of inclusivity, care, and excellence
  • Relevant teaching or leadership qualification

Preferred

  • Experience in a large secondary school or multi-academy trust setting
  • Experience in leading behaviour improvement initiatives
  • Experience with pastoral care and student welfare
  • Experience in managing and supporting staff development in behaviour management
