The Opportunity:

The Development Manager will play a key role in advancing the school’s fundraising and engagement initiatives. This position is ideal for someone passionate about building relationships and driving impactful events for alumni and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and develop the school’s programme of events and engagement activities for alumni.
• Manage fundraising and stewardship communications and activities.
• Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Department’s work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
• Support the External Relations department in achieving its strategic objectives.
• Ensure the continuous improvement of the team’s work through effective planning and organisation.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance fundraising and community engagement efforts.
• Monitor and report on the performance of fundraising and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Degree level education.
• Proven experience in developing relationships with individuals and communities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in fundraising or alumni relations is desirable, though not essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience in a similar role within education or non-profit sectors.
• Knowledge of event planning and management.
• Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising software.
• Demonstrated success in raising funds for educational institutions.
