The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an enthusiastic and reflective Teacher of Mathematics to join its highly successful faculty on a 0.5 basis. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a dynamic and supportive teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental enrichment initiatives.
  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development, including Form Tutor responsibilities.
  • Participate in the broader life of the school through events, trips, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent pedagogical practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to professional development.
  • Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Experience with Edexcel specifications or similar.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
  • Experience with advanced mathematics workshops or Oxbridge preparation programs.
