The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an enthusiastic and reflective Teacher of Mathematics to join its highly successful faculty on a 0.5 basis. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a dynamic and supportive teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental enrichment initiatives.
- Support pupils’ academic and personal development, including Form Tutor responsibilities.
- Participate in the broader life of the school through events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent pedagogical practice.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and commitment to professional development.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Experience with Edexcel specifications or similar.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
- Experience with advanced mathematics workshops or Oxbridge preparation programs.
