The Opportunity:

As a Digital Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the future of engineering and digital education. You will deliver high-quality teaching in Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics, inspiring students to develop essential skills and prepare for future careers in technology and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics across Year 9, Key Stages 4, and 5.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Support the development of students’ digital, computational, and electronic skills in line with the school’s integrated engineering curriculum.
  • Collaborate with industry partners on real-life projects to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the ongoing refinement of the school’s innovative curriculum.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 A*-C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE, including English and Maths.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Strong working knowledge of Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics within the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTC education.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Familiarity with industry partnerships and real-world project-based learning.
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative curriculum content.
