The Opportunity:

As the Director of Short Courses, you will lead the strategy, recruitment, and delivery of a growing range of short courses, including Easter, Summer, and online programmes. This role is pivotal in driving commercial growth, ensuring high-quality student experience, and working closely with key teams to deliver impactful educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and enhance short-course provision.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of course staff and external partners.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality educational experiences across all short-course programmes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Academic, and Operations teams to align course offerings with institutional goals.
  • Monitor and report on enrolment targets, student satisfaction, and course performance.
  • Identify and develop new course opportunities to meet demand and expand the school’s reach.
  • Act as the senior on-site lead during face-to-face delivery periods.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry partners.

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in education programme development and delivery.
  • Strong organisational and commercial acumen with a track record in driving growth.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-achieving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and deliver high-quality educational provision at scale.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing short-course or summer school programmes.
  • Background in STEM education or related fields.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and online course delivery.
  • Strong understanding of student recruitment and marketing strategies.
