The Opportunity:
As the Director of Inclusion and SEND, you will lead the development of inclusive practices across the Trust, ensuring that all learners are supported to thrive. This role is central to building a culture of equity, high expectations, and professional integrity in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inclusive systems and practices across the Trust.
- Lead professional learning and capacity building for staff to ensure SEND and inclusion are embedded in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to shape curriculum design that meets the needs of all learners.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, leadership, and high expectations throughout the Trust.
- Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning that ensures every student is known, valued, and supported.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure that inclusion is a collective responsibility.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion initiatives on student outcomes.
- Advocate for the needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities across the Trust.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in education, with a strong focus on inclusion and SEND.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement inclusive systems and strategies.
- Experience in curriculum design and professional learning for teachers.
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusion best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading large-scale change or transformation in education settings.
- Background in strategic leadership within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
- Experience with inclusion and SEND policy development.
- Knowledge of innovative approaches to supporting diverse learners.
