The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Director of Islamic Studies to lead and inspire the delivery of high-quality Islamic education within a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is central to shaping the spiritual and moral development of students, aligning with the school’s mission to foster confidence, compassion, and global awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Islamic Studies curriculum in line with the school’s vision and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
• Deliver outstanding teaching and pastoral care, ensuring a balance between academic and social development.
• Identify and address safeguarding concerns with a proactive and sensitive approach.
• Support the professional development of colleagues through collaboration and mentorship.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of Islamic Studies across all key stages.
• Promote the school’s ethos of 'Belong, Believe, Become' through teaching and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Islamic Teacher with appropriate teaching qualification.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding results in Islamic Studies.
• Full working knowledge of The National Curriculum for England and Wales and its associated assessment practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to pastoral care and safeguarding.
• Availability to join the school in August 2026.

Preferred

• Experience in leading and managing a department or team.
• Experience with British curriculum schools in international settings.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to whole-school initiatives and community engagement.
