The Opportunity:

As the Director of Performing Arts, you will lead and inspire a team of passionate educators, shaping a vibrant arts program that aligns with the school’s mission. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-quality performing arts program across drama, music, and dance.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to Heads of Drama, Music, and Dance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovative teaching methods.
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s core values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.
  • Support student engagement through a robust extra-curricular program and community events.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development and growth.
  • Maintain and enhance the school’s reputation for excellence in performing arts education.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the program meets the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Performing Arts at GCSE and A Level in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.
  • Familiarity with the KHDA Framework.

Preferred

  • Experience in a high-performing international school environment.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and the International Baccalaureate.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Background in extra-curricular program management.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering student creativity and achievement.
