The Opportunity:
As the Director of Sport, you will lead and inspire a dynamic sports program that spans all age groups, from 4 to 18. This role is central to promoting a culture of participation, excellence, and wellbeing, while upholding the school’s values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for sport that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, participation, and excellence across all sporting activities.
- Lead and support the development of coaches, staff, and pupils to ensure high standards of performance and character.
- Promote and enhance the school’s sporting identity within the local community and beyond.
- Ensure the safe, effective, and engaging delivery of sporting programs for all students.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sport into the broader educational experience.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sporting initiatives on student wellbeing and development.
- Represent the school at events, competitions, and community engagements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a sports or educational setting.
- Strong strategic planning and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students, staff, and the wider community.
- Deep understanding of youth sports development and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the values of kindness, integrity, and rigour.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a school or educational institution.
- Background in coaching or sport administration.
- Experience in developing and delivering sport programs for a wide age range.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in school sport and student wellbeing.
