The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced DP History & TOK Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking school. Key Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of inquiry-based methods to develop students’ curiosity and independent learning skills.
• Teach conceptual knowledge that connects across subjects and fosters deep understanding of complex ideas.
• Design real-life, contextualized learning experiences that link local and global perspectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create interactive and adaptive learning environments that meet diverse student needs.
• Implement ongoing assessment strategies that support student growth and inform instructional practices.
• Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and ensure digital integrity.
• Support language development through scaffolding, extension, and identity affirmation.
• Empower students to understand and advocate for sustainability principles.
• Participate in professional inquiry and continuous learning through PLCs, research, and collaborative practices.
• Reflect on professional beliefs and practices to maintain integrity and contribute to a positive learning community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in the IB Diploma Programme.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based and conceptual teaching approaches.
• Experience in planning and delivering collaborative learning experiences.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Proficiency in assessment strategies aligned with IB standards.
• Experience in integrating technology into the classroom.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience teaching TOK and History at the DP level.
• Background in action research or professional learning communities (PLCs).
• Experience with language development and scaffolding techniques.
• Familiarity with sustainability education and global citizenship initiatives.
