The Opportunity:

As a DT Technician, you will support the school’s vision by providing technical and administrative assistance across the Design and Technology faculty. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of teaching and learning, while contributing to a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of D & T in managing technical and administrative duties across the faculty.
• Assist in the maintenance and organization of equipment, materials, and resources for D & T lessons.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies related to equal opportunity and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment for students.
• Provide support in the planning and delivery of D & T activities and projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to technical and administrative tasks.
• Promote independence and creativity in students through hands-on support and guidance.
• Assist in the organization of enrichment activities and events related to D & T.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a technical or administrative role within an educational setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to supporting the school’s ethos and values.

Preferred

• Experience in Design and Technology or a related field.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a school environment.
• Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusivity and student development.
