The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Food Technology Teacher and Curriculum Lead to join a thriving department. This role offers the chance to shape and develop the curriculum, while inspiring students of all ages and abilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education in Food Technology and Design and Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons to students across all key stages.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s Food Technology and Design and Technology curriculum.
- Support and mentor both students and colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with other subject leads to ensure a cohesive and effective department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Food Technology.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
- Represent the school at relevant events and conferences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Food Technology and Design and Technology.
- Proven ability to teach students of all abilities and ages, including up to GCSE level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Food Technology.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or curriculum team.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
- Leadership experience or a commitment to professional development.
