The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Food Technology Teacher and Curriculum Lead to join a thriving department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education in Food Technology and Design and Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s Food Technology and Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Support and mentor both students and colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other subject leads to ensure a cohesive and effective department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Food Technology.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
  • Represent the school at relevant events and conferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Food Technology and Design and Technology.
  • Proven ability to teach students of all abilities and ages, including up to GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Food Technology.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or curriculum team.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
  • Leadership experience or a commitment to professional development.
