Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Design and Technology lessons that meet curriculum requirements and inspire student interest.
- Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning.
- Support students in developing technical and design skills through hands-on projects and practical activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and career progression.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student support initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
- Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take responsibility for student progress.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Experience of delivering GCSE or A Level Design and Technology courses.
- Experience with cross-curricular and project-based learning.
- Experience of using digital tools and software in teaching and learning.
- Experience of working in a faith-based educational setting.
