The Opportunity:

As an EAL Teacher IGCSE English, you will play a key role in supporting students’ language development and academic success. This position offers the opportunity to lead and shape the EAL program, while contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Heads of EAL for Primary and Secondary to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive EAL program.
• Develop, implement, and review EAL strategies and programs to support students’ language acquisition and academic achievement.
• Deliver high-quality EAL instruction using a variety of teaching techniques to address diverse learning styles.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Provide training and professional development for teaching staff to enhance their ability to support EAL students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure consistent application of EAL policies and student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching certification or qualifications in EAL.
• Experience in teaching EAL, preferably within an international or multi-lingual setting.
• Proven experience in a leadership or coordinative role within an educational environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team effectively.

Preferred

• Possession of relevant education certifications such as PGCE or QTS.
• Cross-cultural teaching experience and adaptability to establish positive relationships with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.
