The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts team and contribute to the school’s vibrant music programme. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning, lead co-curricular activities, and be part of a dynamic and supportive educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive music lessons across Primary and Middle School.
• Lead and develop the school’s choir programme and other co-curricular music activities.
• Collaborate with the Head of Performing Arts and other teachers to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports all students’ individual needs.
• Assess student progress and use this to inform and improve teaching practice.
• Support the school’s mission by promoting a holistic, student-centred curriculum.
• Organize and lead subject assemblies and other events to showcase student learning.
• Participate in school events, including parent meetings and admissions activities.
• Ensure the classroom is a welcoming and engaging space for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• University degree in Music and a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, MEd).
• Minimum of 2 years’ classroom teaching experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative.
• Understanding of international curricula, including PYP, MYP, and CNC.

Preferred

• Excellent vocal or keyboard skills.
• Experience teaching in an international school setting.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Experience with English Language Learners.
