The Opportunity:

As an Economics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students' understanding of economic principles and preparing them for future academic and professional success. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking in Economics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Economics to students, covering topics such as macroeconomics, microeconomics, international trade, and economic policies.
• Develop and implement detailed teaching plans aligned with curriculum requirements and student learning levels.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, case studies, and group discussions, to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them grasp complex economic concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
• Grade assignments and exams, offering detailed feedback to support student progress and improvement.
• Organize field trips and academic activities that provide students with real-world insights into economics and related fields.
• Collaborate with school management, parents, and colleagues to support student development and enhance the learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Master's degree in a related field or equivalent qualification with qualified teacher status.
• Proven experience in delivering Economics lessons using diverse teaching methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support students.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
• Ability to monitor and evaluate student progress effectively.
• Proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT) and presentation skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, and community members.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Economics at the secondary or higher education level.
• Background in curriculum development and assessment design.
• Experience with international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate (IB).
• Fluency in both English and Chinese.
