The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Early Years Lead Teacher to join our dedicated team at the Junior School site in a beautiful rural setting. This role is central to delivering a high-quality EYFS curriculum and fostering a love of learning in our youngest pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Monitor and support good practice in teaching and learning across the EYFS.
  • Take responsibility for the progress and attainment of pupils through strong leadership and effective teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with inspectors, governors, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Develop positive relationships with parents and support their first links with the school.
  • Ensure a warm and inclusive learning environment that stimulates exploration and discovery.
  • Collaborate with the team to continue developing and improving the EYFS department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Framework and statutory requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an EYFS setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and lead a Reception class.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in moderation, assessment, and reporting.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching and leading within a high-quality EYFS environment.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and flexibility of mind.
  • Experience in fostering positive relationships with parents and the wider community.
