The Opportunity:

As a Sports Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school's Sports Centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on the school's sporting and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a small team of staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Sports Centre.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly followed at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, members, and visitors of all ages.
  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders, including students, parents, and external organisations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the use of the facility during term time and public hours.
  • Participate in regular training to maintain high standards of safety and service.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility usage and staff performance.
  • Promote the Sports Centre's services and facilities to the school community and beyond.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing a sports or recreational facility.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of sports equipment and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a similar managerial role.
  • First aid and emergency response training.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £29,355 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
