The Opportunity:
As a Sports Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school's Sports Centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on the school's sporting and recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a small team of staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Sports Centre.
- Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly followed at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, members, and visitors of all ages.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders, including students, parents, and external organisations.
- Coordinate and oversee the use of the facility during term time and public hours.
- Participate in regular training to maintain high standards of safety and service.
- Maintain accurate records of facility usage and staff performance.
- Promote the Sports Centre's services and facilities to the school community and beyond.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing a sports or recreational facility.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of sports equipment and maintenance.
- Previous experience in a similar managerial role.
- First aid and emergency response training.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £29,355 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
- 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with days in lieu where applicable.
