The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Economics and Business Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school community. This role offers the chance to inspire students of all abilities and contribute to a cutting-edge educational model. The position involves teaching within the International Baccalaureate and supporting students through a dynamic, multilingual curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics and Business to Secondary students, incorporating innovative and interactive methods.
  • Deliver lessons in English, with a strong emphasis on differentiation and student engagement.
  • Support students through academic and personal development as a tutor.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s innovative pedagogical model.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, community projects, and cultural events.
  • Stay current with educational technology and use it effectively in the classroom.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Support the school’s mission of fostering independent thinkers and global citizens.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to teach in authentic English.
  • Experience teaching Economics and Business at Secondary level.
  • Strong ICT skills, with familiarity with Mac, iPad, and educational apps.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and engage students of all abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
  • Experience with UCAS / D of E.
  • Proficiency in Catalan and/or Spanish.
