The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to students aged 12-18, using an innovative and inclusive pedagogical approach.
  • Deliver lessons that are engaging, differentiated, and aligned with the International Baccalaureate and national curricula.
  • Support students through tutoring and pastoral care, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and extra-curricular activities.
  • Utilize modern ICT tools, including Mac and iPad, and educational apps to enhance student learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training programs to maintain and improve teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the school's mission by promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and global awareness.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering school events, including the annual university fair and cultural activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to teach completely in English.
  • Proven experience teaching Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) at the Secondary level.
  • Strong ICT skills, including familiarity with Mac, iPad, and educational apps.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
  • Experience with UCAS / D of E.
  • Proficiency in Catalan and/or Spanish.
  • Experience working in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
