The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Maths Teacher to join a forward-thinking school that values creativity, innovation, and multilingual education. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students in a supportive and international environment, with a curriculum that includes the International Baccalaureate and US Dual Diploma programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students aged 12–18, using innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Support students of all abilities, differentiating instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with International Baccalaureate standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, including sports, music, and cultural programs.
  • Act as a tutor, providing academic support to students outside of class.
  • Integrate technology into teaching, using Mac, iPad, and educational apps effectively.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering independent, creative, and globally aware learners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to teach in authentic English.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at Secondary level.
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
  • Strong ICT skills, including experience with Mac, iPad, and educational apps.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IB and Bachillerato / ESO (ages 12–18).
  • IB trained or prepared to undergo IB training.
  • Experience with UCAS / D of E.
  • Familiarity with the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
  • Knowledge of Catalan and/or Spanish.
