The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of subjects to primary students in English, following an international curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that promote active learning and student participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and cross-curricular projects.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through individualized attention and guidance.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and community projects.
  • Utilize technology effectively in the classroom, including Apple devices and educational apps.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in international teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • PGCE or equivalent in Primary Education, or QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching primary students in an international setting.
  • Strong command of English as the primary teaching language.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and create engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience with international curricula, such as the International Baccalaureate.

Preferred

  • Experience with Phonics-based teaching methods.
  • Knowledge of Catalan or Spanish.
  • Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative teaching approaches.
  • Experience with technology integration in education, especially with Apple products and educational apps.
  • International teaching experience in multiple countries or continents.
