Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Economics and Politics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A Level.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and a love of learning.
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualized learning strategies.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in staff development and professional growth opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of behavior and pastoral care within the classroom.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Politics, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- Proven experience teaching Economics and Politics at GCSE and A Level.
- Ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IB and A Level.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification teaching experience.
Preferred
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
- Strong record of academic achievement and student progress.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and IGCSE qualifications.
- Experience with extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
