Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics to a range of students, ensuring engaging and effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the development of the Economics department and curriculum.
  • Participate in the school’s co-curricular programme and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral care and safeguarding support to students.
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice.
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that align with the school’s academic and pastoral goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent knowledge of Economics and a passion for the subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and teacher training.

Preferred

  • Prior experience teaching Economics in a secondary school.
  • Experience contributing to a co-curricular programme.
  • A background in teacher training or a willingness to pursue it.
