The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious team. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching in Health and Social Care and at least one other Social Sciences subject. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Social Sciences subjects including Health and Social Care, RE, PSHE, Sociology, Citizenship, and Psychology.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, creative, and aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Manage a diverse range of learners, including those at different ability levels up to Level 3.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment with strong behaviour management and high expectations.
  • Support the school’s commitment to vocational learning and the transition to V-levels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching practices.
  • Engage students through real-world connections and meaningful learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care and at least one other Social Sciences subject
  • Ability to teach across a range of ability levels up to Level 3
  • Strong planning and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to making a real difference to students’ lives

Preferred

  • Experience in vocational education or teaching at V-levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating learners
