The Opportunity:
Join a growing department as an Economics Teacher, helping to deliver A Level Economics to sixth form students starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving academic environment and support students in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Economics lessons to students at both GCSE and A Level.
- Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources to support student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Business Studies and Economics department to enhance departmental performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and student support.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and positive relationships.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Economics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Economics at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a high academic standard and Ofsted Outstanding rating.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience with teaching Business Studies or related subjects.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
