The Opportunity:

Join a growing department as an Economics Teacher, helping to deliver A Level Economics to sixth form students starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving academic environment and support students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons to students at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources to support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Business Studies and Economics department to enhance departmental performance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and student support.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and positive relationships.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Economics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Economics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a high academic standard and Ofsted Outstanding rating.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with teaching Business Studies or related subjects.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
