Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons for KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
  • Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential through effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Support the development of students’ problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Mathematics department’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities in Mathematics.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to student progress and high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Mathematics.
  • Experience in extra-curricular Mathematics provision or STEM initiatives.
