Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons for KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
- Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential through effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Support the development of students’ problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Mathematics department’s curriculum and teaching practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development initiatives.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities in Mathematics.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to student progress and high standards of teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Mathematics.
- Experience in extra-curricular Mathematics provision or STEM initiatives.
