The Opportunity:

As an EHCP Review Officer (Term Time Only), you will play a key role in ensuring students with additional needs receive the support they require. This position involves managing and reviewing EHCPs, maintaining accurate data systems, and ensuring compliance with educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure they meet student needs and comply with regulations.
  • Maintain and update data systems such as ATLAS to support accurate student support allocation and funding.
  • Coordinate EHCP reviews with relevant stakeholders, including students, parents, and teaching staff.
  • Ensure all data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner to support effective resource allocation.
  • Support the development of robust systems and procedures for managing student support requirements.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure compliance with all legal and institutional requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to support decision-making and resource planning.
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and best practice in special educational needs support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good general education and preferably an appropriate special educational needs qualification.
  • Experience of working with data software and systems, including assistive technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience of coordinating EHCP reviews in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Preferred

  • Experience with ATLAS or similar data monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of educational legislation and policies related to special needs support.
  • Experience working in a Further Education or Sixth Form setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
