The Opportunity:
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Music and Drama education to students at KS3 and KS4. You will be part of a dedicated team and contribute to innovative teaching and learning initiatives that shape student success and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Music and Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum and promotes student creativity and achievement.
- Support students in preparing for public performances and assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.
- Contribute to the school’s vision for innovation and excellence in Performing Arts education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Performing Arts education.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Music and Drama at KS3 and KS4.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective classroom teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusion.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular Performing Arts activities.
- Familiarity with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Experience with digital teaching tools and resources.
- Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
