The Opportunity:

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students at KS3 and KS4. You will join a dedicated team of experienced educators and contribute to innovative teaching and learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Support students in developing key skills such as critical thinking, research, and geographical analysis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and staff development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering innovative and student-centered Geography lessons.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in pastoral care or supporting student well-being.
  • Experience working in a multi-ethnic and inclusive environment.
