As an Engineering Teacher, you will inspire and challenge students aged 16-19 to reach their full potential. You will deliver outstanding teaching and learning, ensuring students are equipped for future success in engineering and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Engineering to students aged 16-19.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them succeed in their studies and future careers.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Engineering to ensure a relevant and dynamic curriculum.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in Engineering, either through teaching or industry.
- A commitment to working with young people and a passion for education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or training in a sixth form or further education setting.
- Experience with Applied Technical Qualifications or BTEC courses.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in teaching and learning.
- Experience with character education or pastoral support programmes.
