The Opportunity:

As an SEN Teacher (Enrichment and Learning Support), you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 3-11 with special educational needs, disabilities, or individual learning needs. You will help them become confident, resilient, and independent learners within a dynamic and inclusive school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive enrichment provision tailored to the needs of pupils aged 3-11.
  • Work collaboratively with the Deputy Head Enrichment and Deputy SENDCO to implement support strategies.
  • Support the practical application of curriculum requirements across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
  • Foster an environment that encourages confidence, resilience, and independence in learners.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in SEN support or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting learners with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in enrichment provision or extracurricular activities.
  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive practices.
  • Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Familiarity with the use of assistive technology in the classroom.
