The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Engineering Teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. This role offers the chance to shape the future of engineering education and support students in achieving academic and career success through BTEC, T Level, and A Level programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across BTEC, T Level, and A Level Engineering programmes.
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Set and maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and industry-relevant curricula.
  • Support students in developing technical, employability, and life skills.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with external partners, including London South Bank University and industry sponsors.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Engineering.
  • Experience teaching BTEC, T Level, or A Level Engineering.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with industry-led learning or employer challenge projects.
  • Knowledge of engineering specialisms such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in developing and delivering CPD for colleagues.
  • Familiarity with university and higher education partnerships.
