The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring Engineering Teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. This role offers the chance to shape the future of engineering education and support students in achieving academic and career success through BTEC, T Level, and A Level programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across BTEC, T Level, and A Level Engineering programmes.
- Plan and implement engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and industry-relevant curricula.
- Support students in developing technical, employability, and life skills.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with external partners, including London South Bank University and industry sponsors.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Engineering.
- Experience teaching BTEC, T Level, or A Level Engineering.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with industry-led learning or employer challenge projects.
- Knowledge of engineering specialisms such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in developing and delivering CPD for colleagues.
- Familiarity with university and higher education partnerships.
