Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Develop and implement an innovative and engaging science curriculum.
Support staff through professional development and mentorship.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning.
Promote a culture of scientific inquiry and curiosity among students.
Represent the school at external events and conferences.
Ensure compliance with school policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with experience in leading a science department.
Strong subject knowledge in science and a commitment to academic excellence.
Proven ability to manage and develop a team of teachers.
Experience in curriculum design and delivery.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

Experience in a school with a strong Christian ethos.
Knowledge of inclusive education and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
Experience with Ofsted inspections or similar regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
