Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding GCSE and Functional Skills English lessons to 19+ learners.
- Plan and design engaging and effective teaching resources and learning materials.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum improvements.
- Support students in developing essential literacy and communication skills.
- Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
- Contribute to the wider college community through enrichment activities and student support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Strong knowledge of English curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching 19+ learners in a further education setting.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with online learning platforms and digital resources.
- Previous involvement in curriculum development or leadership roles.
