Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons using bespoke and fully resourced schemes of learning.
• Support students in achieving excellent results in GCSE and A-Level English qualifications.
• Inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching practices.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance as a form tutor.
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Reflect on teaching effectiveness and implement improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration within the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.
• Strong experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• In-depth knowledge of English assessment and examination content.
• Ability to reflect on teaching effectiveness and improve outcomes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to student achievement and pastoral support.

Preferred

• Experience with AQA and OCR English qualifications.
• Experience working in a selective or high-performing school.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and support colleagues.
• Experience in curriculum development or innovation.
