The Opportunity:

As a Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the future of students by delivering engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons across all key stages, ensuring student engagement and academic success.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Physics and Science-themed enrichment programmes.
  • Support the ongoing growth and development of the Physics department and wider Science team.
  • Participate in teacher training initiatives and mentorship of early career teachers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and pedagogical approaches.
  • Engage in research and development activities to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Attend and contribute to professional development and training days.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching Physics at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teacher training or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with the University of Birmingham School’s ethos and values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Physics education.
  • Ability to contribute to enrichment and extracurricular activities.
