Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Religious Studies lessons to students aged 11–18.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters critical thinking, spiritual awareness, and ethical understanding.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and respect for diverse beliefs.
  • Support student progress through individualised feedback and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best approaches.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that focus on leadership development and character education.
  • Stay up to date with educational research and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring future leaders through character development and social action.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching Religious Studies to GCSE standard
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a faith-based or multi-faith setting
  • Experience of developing and leading leadership or character development programmes
  • Experience with innovative and creative teaching methods
  • Experience of working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds
