The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that foster a love of literature and develop strong literacy skills.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a knowledge-rich and challenging curriculum for KS4 students.
  • Support the continued success of the English team through collaboration and reflective practice.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, creativity, and high expectations in the classroom.
  • Engage students through innovative teaching methods and a commitment to musical and academic excellence.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and music-related initiatives that enhance student learning and development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a cohesive and inspiring educational experience.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a holistic approach to learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in music or arts education.
  • Early Career Teacher with a strong desire to grow and develop professionally.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
