Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across key stages 3, 4, and A Level.
  • Support students in achieving consistently high examination results at GCSE and A Level.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance your teaching and learning skills.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a committed team.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to English.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
  • Experience of teaching across key stages 3, 4, and A Level.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and a commitment to reflective practice.
  • Experience in a selective or grammar school setting.
  • Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities in English.
