Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across key stages 3, 4, and A Level.
- Support students in achieving consistently high examination results at GCSE and A Level.
- Collaborate with experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance your teaching and learning skills.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a committed team.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to English.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- Experience of teaching across key stages 3, 4, and A Level.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of academic achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and a commitment to reflective practice.
- Experience in a selective or grammar school setting.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities in English.
