The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher Inclusion, you will play a vital role in leading and shaping the school’s approach to inclusion and special educational needs. This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and staff development within a welcoming and faith-based community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school’s inclusion strategy, ensuring all students receive the support they need.
  • Oversee the implementation of the SEND code of practice and alternative provision frameworks.
  • Work closely with external providers to enhance support for students with additional needs.
  • Allocate pupil premium funding effectively to improve outcomes for disadvantaged students.
  • Inspire and motivate both staff and students through leadership and collaborative working.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development of inclusive policies and practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion initiatives on student achievement and well-being.
  • Support the Headteacher in the overall management of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in SEND and inclusion.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SEND code of practice.
  • Experience in managing pupil premium funding effectively.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and Catholic values.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Experience in working with external providers and alternative provision.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading teams with evidence of securing strong outcomes.
  • Background in Catholic education or faith-based institutions.
  • Experience in school improvement and inclusion strategies.
