The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a department that consistently delivers excellent results. The role involves teaching across the 11-18 age range and working within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across the full ability range.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A-Level results in English Language and Literature.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Key Stage Three curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to innovate and improve teaching practices.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities related to English and literature.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
  • Experience in teaching students aged 11-18.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering GCSE and A-Level courses.
  • Familiarity with the AQA specification.
  • Experience with curriculum development.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting newly qualified teachers.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
