The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a department that consistently delivers excellent results. The role involves teaching across the 11-18 age range and working within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across the full ability range.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A-Level results in English Language and Literature.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Key Stage Three curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to innovate and improve teaching practices.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities related to English and literature.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Experience in teaching students aged 11-18.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering GCSE and A-Level courses.
- Familiarity with the AQA specification.
- Experience with curriculum development.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting newly qualified teachers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
