Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Sociology lessons to A/AS Level students.
• Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
• Participate in enrichment activities, such as trips and speaker events.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance where appropriate.
• Maintain a well-resourced and up-to-date teaching environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Sociology.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching.
• Ability to engage and motivate students at A/AS Level.
• Experience in delivering A Level Sociology curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a collaborative teaching environment.
• Familiarity with ILT (Interactive Learning Technology) tools.
• Background in curriculum development or enrichment activities.
• Experience with student pastoral support.
