The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students across the 11–18 age range. You will join a passionate and experienced team dedicated to delivering innovative and engaging lessons that help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics to students across all ability levels and key stages.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative lessons that align with the school’s curriculum.
  • Support student progress through regular assessment, feedback, and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including maths clubs and enrichment programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level mathematics curricula.
  • Experience with pastoral support and student welfare.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
