Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the school’s policies and mission.
  • Monitor and track student achievement to ensure each learner fulfils their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Support the delivery of AQA and Eduqas specifications at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Participate in department planning and contribute to enrichment activities.
  • Embrace a variety of teaching styles and integrate IT and online platforms into lessons.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to staff appraisal and development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attend liaison events with parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality education for all students.
  • Experience in teaching at least two A Level English courses and GCSE English.
  • Strong track record of outstanding student achievement and ALPs value added.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA and Eduqas specifications.
  • Background in enrichment activities and student engagement.
  • Experience in using IT and online platforms for teaching and learning.
  • Previous involvement in staff development and leadership initiatives.
