The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and high-performing English teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. The role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a department with a proven record of outstanding achievement and ALPs value added.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the school’s policies and mission.
- Monitor and track student achievement to ensure each learner fulfils their potential.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
- Support the delivery of AQA and Eduqas specifications at both GCSE and A Level.
- Participate in department planning and contribute to enrichment activities.
- Embrace a variety of teaching styles and integrate IT and online platforms into lessons.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to staff appraisal and development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attend liaison events with parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
- Commitment to providing the highest quality education for all students.
- Experience in teaching at least two A Level English courses and GCSE English.
- Strong track record of outstanding student achievement and ALPs value added.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA and Eduqas specifications.
- Background in enrichment activities and student engagement.
- Experience in using IT and online platforms for teaching and learning.
- Previous involvement in staff development and leadership initiatives.
