Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Computing lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Support the continued improvement of the Computing curriculum and ensure it reflects current industry standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to enhance student learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Computing across the curriculum where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Computing field and incorporate new technologies into teaching.
  • Participate in staff development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Promote the Catholic ethos and values within the classroom and school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computing or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of Computing and its application in education.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a Catholic school or similar educational environment.
  • Experience with industry-standard software and programming languages.
  • Experience of working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Leadership experience or the potential to take on additional responsibilities.
