Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach RE across all key stages and ability ranges
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that align with the school’s Catholic mission
  • Support students in developing their understanding of religious beliefs and values
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of whole-school spiritual and pastoral initiatives
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed
  • Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and departmental strategy
  • Engage in professional development and reflective practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in RE
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
  • Ability to teach across all year groups and ability ranges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at both primary and secondary levels
  • Familiarity with the Catholic faith and its teachings
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Experience in curriculum development
