Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students to achieve outstanding results.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and attainment.
- Support the school’s leadership programme by integrating leadership and character development into the English curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and school values.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-wide events and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives student achievement.
- Demonstrable experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience of innovation and creativity in teaching and learning.
- Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
